Song submissions for the AI Song Contest 2025 have opened, as the competition looks ahead to the final in Amsterdam.
The search for songs to compete in the sixth edition of the AI Song Contest is underway. Songs can now be submitted for the contest up until August 31, 2025. To assist with competing in the contest 'Community Sessions' are being held on July 9, July 24, August 6 and August 21.
The rules of the contest are:
Participants must use AI in the creative process and describe how they've used AI and data.
The song must be no longer than 4 minutes
Lyrics are optional, and the language performed in is up to the participant
No person or artist may compete for more than one team in the AI Song Contest in that year
Once the song submissions close in August, a Semifinal will be held in September where a jury will vote on the entries. In October, the public can vote on the finalists, with the results announced at the Award Show in Amsterdam on November 16.
The AI Song Contest was first held in 2020 and has grown in popularity since. The contest is the first which encourages songs to be written by artificial intelligence. The songs are then evaluated by a jury on the use of AI in the song, while the public assesses the songs in an online vote.
The contest has been won to date by entries from Australia, Chile, the Netherlands, Thailand and the United States.
